Welcome to the Audi Club Lone Star (ACLS) Chapter Website!

The Lone Star Chapter of ACNA is large enough to cover the entire state of Texas, but small enough to let you feel at home quickly. Since Texas is a pretty big place, we bring everyone together online via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and a very active forum that includes sub-forums covering various regions of the state so you can quickly find events that are relevant to where you live or travel. So, stop by and enjoy some Texas hospitality, ya hear?

ACLS Members Attend Houston Fall Foliage Fun Run

On a crisp fall morning in northwest Houston, Audi drivers convened for a day of driving and camaraderie. Buc-Ee’s was the assembly point for Audi Club Lone Star Chapter’s Fall Foliage Fun Run. Ten cars in total, including two R8s and two Mustangs (!) lined up combat-style as their owners made final preparations and listened to a brief drivers’ meeting. After the safety briefing, maps were handed out and navigation systems fired up along with the eager engines.

A spirited drive to our first destination, Yankee's Tavern, gave everyone a sense of exhilaration and relief from the big city congestion. The momentum of the drive was such that many cars ran right past Yankee's Tavern and had to turn around and come back!

The popular stop for car clubs and bikers alike is located near Anderson, Texas, and offers grassy tranquility mixed with an ice-house style hamburger restaurant serving food with that homemade goodness of yesteryear. A group photo was taken at the Stonehenge-style rock garden.

Leaving Yankee's Tavern for the afternoon sojourn lead us across northern Montgomery County through the Sam Houston National Forest towards Plantersville, home of the Texas Renaissance Festival. Traffic control officers couldn’t help but be distracted by the sight of our Audi caravan coming through the control points.

Our destination was Old Town Tomball, next to the railroad depot, a revitalized area of shopping and restaurants, to visit an old-fashioned ice cream shop, Nonnies. Some members found the wine bar next door to be of special interest as well!

An absolutely perfect sunny afternoon allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the ambience of friends with Audis. Many thanks to our volunteer team of Tod Phillips, Barrett Lanier, and William Jackson for organizing a beautiful experience for our members!
