ACLS Members enjoy the First rounds of the Pirelli World Challenge

As the sun rose over the viewing tower on a brisk Friday morning at the Circuit of the Americas, ACLS members were rolling into the car corral for the first and second rounds of the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge. This three day event featured racing talent from all classes (GT/GTA/GT Cup, GTS, TC/TCA/TCB) on the world-class 3.4-mile circuit. This year featured the premiere of the all-new R8 LMS GT3 from M1 GT Racing.

ACLS Members were treated to a garage tour of all the Audi Sport Customer Racing teams in attendance to include M1 GT Racing, Cameron Racing, and CRP Racing. Special tours of the Audi Sport Customer Racing parts trailer and the Pirelli Tire Trailer and tech session were also given. A select few had the opportunity to experience the massive track with a hot lap in an Audi RS5 with a pro driver at the wheel. The raw power of the Audi RS5 launched members around the track, at speed, experiencing all 20 turns with ease.

During races, ACLS members were granted special access to pit lane and other support access areas normally off-limits for non-racing personnel.  Members were able to see firsthand what goes on in the pits during the race sessions.

Special thanks goes out to Audi Sport Customer Racing, Audi Motorsport Experience, Pirelli Tire Company and the Circuit of the Americas.
