The Rock Rose part of the Domain shopping center in north Austin features a variety of quirky shops and hip bars, including the rooftop fire pit at the Dogwood. After holding monthly happy hours there for the past year, the Audi Club has a standing reservation for this prestigious and cozy spot.
Members park a block or two away in the Red ramp, climbing almost all the way to the top to find enough open spots next to each other to form a picturesque Audi lineup. This month, we filed the cars neatly in groups according to model, from A4 to R8, because we are just that nerdy.
Open to members and soon-to-be-members, the Austin happy hour has become a popular meetup for ACLS. This month’s event drew a crowd of 20+ Audi enthusiasts – a great mix of regulars and newcomers. It’s always exciting to see the looks on new faces when they realize they’ve found “their” people as they get to know each other over brews and snacks overlooking Rock Rose.
