Brand loyalty It started with my first car, a 1985 silver A4. Loved that car, thank God it can not talk…anyway, I grew up in Puerto Rico where car culture is strong. Basically no public transportation, so a car becomes part of your life as soon as you can drive. Although that car had every electrical problem known to man, it stayed with me for many years and the idea of selling it never went thru my mind. However, I ended up giving it to my brother. I do not know what he did to it and I will not, to this date, ask him what he did with it.

From that one, I went with a 2009 Ibis White A4 and currently I own a 2013 A6. These cars have changed so much in every aspect. From exterior design to the changes of the interior, these cars have turned into exquisite eye candy. It doesn’t matter what model you drive, every single one of them, in my opinion, are the kings of their market segment.

A couple of years ago, I moved to South Texas. This gave me the opportunity to be part of ACLS and last year, to attend the State Meet. We had such a good time. Every planned activity was great, however, my favorites were the different drives that we did. There is nothing like seeing these cars running together all around you as a unit (…you’ll understand once you do one…)

You know, I think people are really missing out if they don’t join the chapter. Perhaps that is why I decided to volunteer a little by facilitating the expansion of social activities throughout the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) area. Although we are just beginning, it is being quite an experience getting to know and bringing together, different people that share the same passion for the brand. Loyalty is strong in the south.
