“I have been an Audi fan since I was a kid when I remember seeing an Audi in the neighborhood and recognizing they were not as common as other cars. I really liked the fact you didn’t see them everywhere and the 4 rings appealed to me. It wouldn’t be until my I was in my 30s that I actually bought an Audi. A lot of that had to do with having moved to Manhattan and not needing a car there.

My first Audi was an A5 and I can still remember how amazing that car took corners. I really enjoyed the car but it became apparent after a while that it just was too small for someone with two kids. Around that time I started to get involved with the local Audi enthusiasts community and attending Coffee and Cars in Houston with that group.

It wasn’t long before I had my eyes set on an S4 as solution to both my want for a faster Audi as well as a extra set of doors so the kids could get in and out of the car on their own. I really enjoyed the S4 and had made small modifications like spacers and suspension. At this point I was sold on Audi and knew I probably would be driving them for a long time if not forever.

In the spring of 2015 I upgraded to an 2016 S6. Around that time I became aware of the Audi Club of North America when someone sent me an invite to the 2015 State event that was being held in Houston. I forwarded it to my wife and told her how I really wanted to go to the event. To my surprise she signed me up and scheduled the hotel for a fathers day surprise.

After the state event I became very active in the local club events including going to Austin for the Lone Star Le Mans Audi Experience event and a few of the coordinated Club drives. I have met many good friends and am looking forward to continuing the fun at this years state event in Dallas!”
